On Wednesday, 3 April 2015, and Thursday, 4 April 2015, the students from the second year who take the subject Human resource Management had an interactive lecture on the topic “Gender sensitized HR”. The lecture was given by Zaklina Gestakovska Aleksovska the gender specialist from the Increasing Market employability (IME) project.



The project is an ongoing activity that started in April 2014 and will last until March 2019. The main goal of the project is..

Today April 1st, 2015 UACS had the honor to have Dr. Lisa Mcllvenna as a guest speaker. Association Konekt with the support by the US Embassy in Skopje Dr. Lisa, CRS expert and Deputy Managing Director at business in the Community, Northern Ireland held a lecture on corporate social responsibility.


Ms. McIlvenna shared her international experience on corporate social responsibility. University students had a unique opportunity to learn more on the following topics:
• The history of CSR – where has it come from? Is it relevant for the business?
• How CSR is evolving? (trends, developments, examples from practice)
• The future for CSR?

The Fourth Annual UACS Reading competition organized by the School of Foreign Languages and the Association for Better Education was held at the University American College Skopje on 26 March, 2015 in honor of the 130th birthday of the great English author D.H. Lawrence




This year more than 50 students from 14 high schools from Skopje, Veles, Kumanovo, Delchevo, and Strumica participated at this event reading D.H. Lawrence’s poems and excerpts from his novels.

On March 12, 2015, Dr. Nikica Mojsoska Blazevski gave an inspirational speech at the US Embassy. The speech was titled “Motivating the young people: A personal reflection”. The event was organized on the occasion of the Women’s Day. At the event, 5 successful women from Macedonia had a chance to deliver a short, 8-minutes inspirational speech.

The third year students from School of Business Economics and Management, major Marketing visited the marketing agency “Publics”on 3th of March. Ms.Gorgeva and Ms. Sokolova talked on the topic of how a Creative Brief is being made.



Regarding the presentation on “How a creative brief is being made” the students were able to see the difference between the Project brief and the Creative brief. The Project brief comes before the creative one, and it is being made from the first moment the account manager speaks with the client, later on the account managers puts on paper the general wishes and demands of the client, just to have the big picture before the creative brief.

Dean of School of Business Economics and Management, Dr.Nikica Mojsoska Blazevski, participated for the first time at the GLOBAL MBA Partner’s conference which was held at MSM’s Campus in Maastricht.

The Partners’ Conference is an MSM initiative to integrate efforts and to strengthen the quality of the joint programs. In particular, the conference was geared towards the introduction of a common Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) manual, adoption of revised and upgraded Education Examination Rules (EER) with new grading criteria, and introduction of a new-updated 70 ECTS curriculum for the MBA.

The unique story of the successful Brand MAMA's ajvar was presented by the guest lecturer Petar Lazarov from Macedonia Export on Sales Management classes on Thursday, 27th of February 2015. Mr. Lazarov presented the importance of the strategy and the analytic approach in building a successful brand. This semester, the UACS Marketing students will have the opportunity to work on the new brand extension marketing communications strategy.


MAMA's brand is an excellent marketing example of an appropriate strategic positioning, with excellent examples of building Brand personality and Brand extensions in few new MAMA's product lines. Students got the importance of trade marketing and Consumer's usage development, for creating bigger sales, long-term customer profitable relationships and becoming preferable brand among customers.

The third year students from School of Business Economics and Management, major Marketing visited the marketing agency “New Moment”on 24th of February. Ms. Ivanovic talked on the topic of how one day in a marketing agency looks like and she presented us with the concept of “New Moment” itself.



“New Moment” is founded in 1993 and it can be described as a creative, unpredictable, caring are ready to take a step further to achieve the best of the best for its clients or also known as accounts. Ms. Ivanovic explained that this agency is a regional agency but it is independent of the others. The region in which “New Moment” as a marketing agency can be found is mostly the whole Balkan region. The agency of Macedonia is taking care of the strategically part in the marketing process in Kosovo and Albania. As one of the first and well positioned marketing agencies in the whole region, “New Moment” considers his strategic planning, creative work, research, public relations, media planning and media buying, event management, consulting, promos are their strong sides, although consulting as a service is not much used by the accounts.
