UACS hosted a lecture by Mrs. Marisa Mac Isaac, Political Officer at the US State Department, concerning the report by the US State Department on the situation with the human rights in Macedonia on the 15th of May, 2013. 

The UACS Debate Club and the School of Foreign Languages, under the coordination of Ms. Ivana Trajanoska, organized the Second UACS Debate Contest on the 14th of May, 2013.

UACS has been for the second time endowed with the organization of the Researchers' Night 2013. Info on it can be found on www.nok-na-istrazuvaci.mk.

Our professor and Dean of the School of Foreign Languages, Dr. Marjana Vaneva, published an article in the May edition of theMediterranean Journal of Social Sciences, Vol. 4, No 2 (2013), ISSN: 2039–2117 (online), ISSN 2039-9340 (print), pp. 665-676. The paper is titled “Negative Prefixes in English and Macedonian” and has appeared with its Doi:10.5901/mjss.2013.v4n2p665. 

Last week, within the lectures of  the course Introduction to EU Law, Professor Zoran Sapuric hosted guest lecturer Anica Stokojkovska Tomsic, State Councilor Ombudsman of the Republic of Macedonia. Students had the opportunity to learn about the work of the ombudsman institution in the area of prevention of torture, as well as the prevention within Europe and the European Union.

On 7 May 2013 the undergraduate and graduate students from the UACS School of Foreign Languages together with their Dean and professor, Dr Marjana Vaneva, visited the Congress Service Centre within their courses: Preparation for Translation and Interpreting at undergraduate level, and Translation Theories at graduate level. 

On 8 and 9 May 2013 the third-year UACS School of Foreign Languages students from the teaching concentration together with their Dean and professor, Dr Marjana Vaneva, visited the Centre for Foreign Languages within their English Language Teaching Methods class.

The Startup Kids is a documentary about young web entrepreneurs in the U.S. and Europe. It contains interviews with the founders of Vimeo, Soundcloud, Kiip, InDinero, Dropbox, Foodspotting and many others who talk about how they started their company and their lives as an entrepreneur.
