Making
your first step out of the hotel ARKA, you are entering in to the Old Town.

eastern bank of the River Vardar, opposite the modern city center.

Transportation
Transportation
in five mini vans for the participants would be provided from/to the parking lot
of the University American College Skopje, Tetra Makendonska Brigada str. bb.
Skopje, free of charge on the day of the conference.
Accommodation
International guest presenters will be accomodated in Hotel Arka, and their
bookings will be taken care of by the UACS conference secreteriat.

since 2003.

Situated in the historic nucleus of the Old Skopje Town. Only 5 minutes walking

Taxi information
Taxi service has been regulated by the City to provide fair service and equal
fares. Be extra careful when hailing a taxi - there are many ‘taxis’ that may
charge you a lot more for your ride. You are advised to always phone for taxi,
especially if you are at the Skopje Airport or at the international bus station.
All taxis must charge you no more than 20 denars per km with 50 denars minimum.
Typical fare from the airport to the city centre is between 800 and 1000 denars.
Typical fare from the city centre to a more distant urban district (Novo
Lisiche, Gjorche Petrov, and Radishani) is about 200 denars. The table shows
phone numbers of some of the more popular taxi services in Skopje. From mobile
