On 28 February 2017 (Tuesday), UACS students from the School of Law, taking the course in Ecology and Sustainable Development with the course instructor, Prof. Zoran Shapurikj, PhD, visited the regional landfill “Drisla”.

During the visit, the students had the opportunity to learn more about the treatment of communal waste, medical waste and asbestos waste, as well as the detailed process of waste management in the landfill.

Furthermore, the students were introduced to the future plans of the foreign investor “FCL Ambiente”, Italy regarding the investments in modernization of waste management in the landfill.
