On Tuesday, September 16, 2025, University American College Skopje had the pleasure of hosting an engaging Interactive Lecture and Discussion within the framework of the WB-EU Path Project: EU Integration of Western Balkans – Patterns and Issues. Prof. Ognen Vangelov gave the opening speech of the event and served as its moderator.

The event featured Mr. Nikola Dimitrov, Former Deputy Prime Minister for European Affairs and Minister of Foreign Affairs, with his lecture, “The Politics of Deferred Promises: North Macedonia and EU Integration”, where he offered a thought-provoking analysis of Macedonia’s long and complex journey toward EU membership.

The lecture was followed by an open discussion, where students, faculty, and guests actively exchanged views on the prospects and dilemmas of EU integration in the region.
