UACS Hosts Guest Lecture on Dyslexia and Learning Disabilities

On 24 December 2025, the Department of Psychology at UACS hosted a guest lecture on Dyslexia and Learning Disabilities for second- and fourth-year students. The lecture was delivered by Katerina Nikolovska and Damjan Nikolovski from the Association for People with Dyslexia “Ajnstajn” in Skopje.

The session provided an overview of the psychological and cognitive aspects of dyslexia, its impact on academic performance and emotional well-being, as well as key approaches to identification, intervention, and inclusive educational practices. Highly interactive, the lecture encouraged student participation through questions and case discussions, linking theory with real-world educational and clinical contexts.

Students highlighted the lecture’s value in deepening their understanding of learning disabilities, inclusive practices, and the professional role of psychologists, making it a meaningful contribution to their academic and professional development.
