UACS Jubilee Forum: Marking Two Decades of Academic Excellence
On November 20th, UACS celebrated its 20th Anniversary Forum — a landmark academic gathering marking two decades of excellence in higher education.
Hosted at Aleksandar Palace, the Forum brought together distinguished scholars, long-standing international partners, public officials, policymakers, and UACS students for a full day of insightful discussions on the future of education, knowledge, and human development.
The event opened with official addresses by UACS Rector, Prof. Venera Krliu, and Mr. Afrim Gashi, President of the Parliament of the Republic of North Macedonia, setting the stage for a forward-looking conversation on how education must evolve in a rapidly shifting world.
Through keynote talks and three interdisciplinary panels, speakers explored some of the most urgent questions of our time, including what university education will look like in the coming decades, how to prepare the generations who will lead in a new geopolitical and technological era, the roles that AI, architecture, design and creativity will play in shaping the future, and how we can safeguard wellbeing while navigating the digital age.
As one of Macedonia’s pioneering private universities, UACS used this milestone to honor its journey — from introducing international academic standards to building globally recognized programs and meaningful partnerships. The Forum also highlighted the remarkable achievements of our alumni, who continue to shape business, policy, diplomacy, technology, and civil society at home and abroad.
And as the true “cherry on top” — the Forum reaffirmed our commitment to the next 20 years: strengthening collaboration between academia, industry, and government, and continuing to promote innovation, dialogue, responsible leadership, and opportunities for future generations.
